Alicia Crouch

In 2008 we honored Alicia Crouch. Alicia loved the simple life. A proud mother of Christina and Caroline, both St. John’s athletes, and wife to Bob, she was also a loving daughter, aunt, and sister. Her greatest joy was caring and nurturing her family. Her 17-month battle with lung cancer began in October 2005 and included surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation. Her pledge throughout it all was to fight the fight for her children. Her fondest family memory was taking her family on their last vacation swimming with dolphins in Mexico. She died in 2007 and a year later her husband Bob gave a speech on the type of woman that Alicia was and how much she meant to her daughters. This was the year that a Jimmy V alumni-group of former players, now in high school, was formed. These students went to local businesses to solicit their involvement and support of the Jimmy V events. The event raised $24,000.
